A Gnome Named Norm Movie Review

A Gnome Named Norm was an 80s 90s movie with Anthony Michael Hall! This is a movie about a small gnome who comes up from his underground world to get involved with the humans on the surface! The realism of this Gnome is stunning. This movie was never even released in theaters! Despite having many top level A list actors. It was not released apparently because the studio who made it went out of business. I don't know how believable that is. The antagonist in this is the guy from Law and Order! Jerry Orbach. I'm not sure if they didn't release the movie because this guy was portrayed as bad and it was too contrast to his image in Law and Order or they thought the movie would bomb or what. They could have possibly made a better title. But I'm not sure what other title they could have put. Maybe David the Gnome or something like that. The details of the puppetry of the little gnome were remarkable in this film! He was such a cute little creature who moved gracefully and ran around. His clothes and skin were so realistic. They developed his personality and way he talked to be as if he lived in an underground world and rarely interacted with the surface. He had these raggedy clothes, and was not familiar with cultural norms of the people on the surface. Anthony's performance in this was great. He was a young amateur cop detective. There is a mysterious orb that the gnome has that becomes one of the centers of the story. This is another cool aspect of the story. This movie has Claudia Christian in it, too. A big name actress from the 1990s. This movie never even came out. How they could hide this movie and not even release it after making? It is so good. Overall the plot was good and the acting was good and the sets were good. There were not many bad things about this movie. I think it could have done fine in the box office! I remember seeing this movie when I was little and just not being able to look away. It was so captivating. The little gnome was so neat, and the plot really pulled you in. He would run around and do little crazy things around the set. They used electronics and puppetry to make him movie I think. I'm not sure if a little actor could even fit inside that small of a body.
