Rocketeer is an unknown movie from the 1990s that is superbly entertaining and absolutely fantastic. It is set in the 1930s, and involves a guy who finds a secret jetpack that enables him to blast off into the sky. It is loaded with humor, huge action sequences, romance, and great acting. There is not a single flaw in the movie. It is star studded, and carried very well by the main actor Billy Cambell who plays Cliff Seacort. Cliff Seacort is a stunt pilot of airplanes. He has an airplane mechanic partner and friend named Peevy. The female lead in the movie is Jennifer Connelly. The rocket is originally taken by group of mobsters who get in a chase with police and have to stash the rocket in Seacort's airplane hanger. So Seacort and his friend Peevy get caught up in the mess. The government is searching for the rocketpack because it was a secret government experiment. The effects in this movie are unbelievable. This is the early 1990s (1991). He flies the jetpack all over the sky and even in cities and farmland. The mobsters clash with Seacort, and the police, and also with the secret antagonists of the movie; the Nazis. The movie is loaded with historical realness and stunning props and even large scale action sequences involving blimps. There is class in the movie when they visit the nightclubs of the time, dressing in tuxedoes and fancy dresses and listening to broadway singers. Billy Campbell's acting is unbelievable. He is incredibly dashing, good looking, and brings excitement and energy to the movie. His partner Peevy has the look of Albert Einstein which makes him look like a genius. There is this really cool big doghouse cafe they use in the movie. It is like a big bulldog with a cafe and upstairs inside. The main antagonist is Timothy Dalton, who plays an actor who is secretly also searching for the rocket. There is another antagonist gangster who is this gigantic man who seems to be invincible. Overall, this movie brings us back to the 1930s with a truly believable story that is exciting from beginning to end. It has everything: action, romance, stunt planes, huge blimps, gun battles, gangsters, friendship, and even science. Rocketeer!
