The Guyver was an old school 80s style movie coming out of 1991. It had Mark Hamill as one of the lead roles. The actual lead role was a man who looked similar to Mark Hamill, named Jack Armstrong. This movie was totally disgusting, and hardcore, much like many of the movies of the late eighties. It was about this alien technology ball thing that you put on your face, and it would mutate you into this weird alien human technological creature. Like a super suit, which gave you super strength. It was mostly a B movie, but the costumes for this for the aliens were very realistic I have to say. It was obvious they put a lot of work into them. The coreography wasn't bad, either. Hamill's acting was great, as it always is. He played the wise CIA agent who sort of gives advice to Sean throughout the movie. The aliens are incredible. They are so hardcore. The fight scenes are disgusting at times. A lot of the fights take place in the street. The details and modeling of the super suit are amazing. It truly looks like a bio-armor protective alien technological suit. I think the costumes deserve a lot of credit in this movie. The acting is ehhhh. But the overall plt makes sense, and has us enthralled for the most part. The word "Guyver" is a unique name. The beginning is a little weird text scrolling thing with strange lingo. But the opening scene is not bad. We are introduced to the Guyver and a scientist who is hiding it. This movie has a decent soundtrack and ok camera angles. There are a few good actors in there, too. Overall, it's worth checking out. The fight coreography is actually pretty amazing. It's cool to see Hamill in an interesting role like this. The bad guy in this is just a little too carnal. He is too scary in my opinion. Some of the images in this are a little hard to look at. The aliens are so wild. - Move Review Corner
